This lip liner goes best with my MAC Ruby Woo lipstick. I know many like to use MAC Cherry lip liner with Ruby Woo, which I tried too. But Redd gives me more true red (a little orange-based) lips, which suits my olive skin tone much better. It's more warm toned. Redd + Ruby Woo-combination looks like MAC Lady Danger's red, but slightly less orange; very subtle. It's definitely my favorite red.
Shade – MAC describes it as a Vivid bright bluish red. I agree with the description. MAC Cherry Lip Liner will work with most (or all) of the red lipsticks. It looks amazing on its own too. Packaging – It comes in a regular pencil lip liner packaging with no sharpener. Nothing fancy.
MAC cherry lip liner is my first and perhaps the most cherished purchase from MAC! Though an impulse one, I can undoubtedly say that this is one shade of red which will suit almost all tones across the spectrum—no matter the undertones!
For lips I firstly followed the natural lip line with MAC cherry lip liner before filling in the lips with a W7 burgundy red lip stick which I applied with an angled lip brush.
