Now I’ve only swatched the Benefit eyeliner in store and don’t actually have one with me so I cannot compare the two. I can only tell you what I think of the Maybelline gel liner. On first impressions, the tip looks similar to Benefit’s. It even has the small hole cover to keep the gel liner from leaking or drying out too.
Maybelline’s black gel liner was my first gel liner back in 2010 I think but in a few months, the liner completely dried up in the pot. Since then I’ve not gone back to Maybelline liners until this was sent to me for review last month. The packaging of the reformulated liner is slightly different – its in a square base clear pot instead of the round frosted glass one. The metallic lid has been replaced by a sleek black plastic one. I prefer the new, sleeker packaging. One of the best things about Maybelline gel liners is that they come with a brush of their own!
I am yet to try these new reformulated Maybelline gel liner but I used to love the old one too.. now I cant wait to grab it!!
and I totally agree .. angled eyeliner is a saviour..:)
Maybelline gel eyeliners are quickly gaining popularity and it’s easy to see why. These glide on remarkably smooth and are very highly pigmented which makes it easy to get the desired color you want without having to go back over it multiple times. These don’t flake or smudge and are waterproof as well so these stay in the waterline without sliding. The only downside is the color range which as of right now is 4 colors. The price on this is extraordinarily better at $6.00 – $9.00 for 0.11 oz. depending on where you shop.
